Job Summary:

The Fairfax County Park Authority is seeking a highly skilled Park Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our park facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall quality of our parks and recreational areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise a team of maintenance staff and contractors to ensure the efficient and effective maintenance of park facilities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure the upkeep of park facilities, including grounds maintenance, tree care, and facility repairs.
  • Inspect park facilities and grounds to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in recreation, park management, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in park maintenance or a related field.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and operate equipment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
