Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Exterior Maintenance Operations Director to oversee and support all exterior maintenance activities at our retail locations across the United States and Canada. This role involves coordinating with vendors, ensuring compliance with maintenance standards, managing budgets, and providing exceptional support to ensure the exterior appearance and functionality of our retail locations meet company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with vendors and contractors for exterior maintenance services, including landscaping, parking lot maintenance, snow removal, and other related services.
  • Comprehensive Maintenance Plan: Develop and implement a comprehensive exterior maintenance plan for all retail locations, ensuring consistency across all locations.
  • Maintenance Scheduling: Schedule and coordinate regular maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, responding promptly to urgent maintenance issues and coordinating timely resolutions.
  • Maintenance Standards: Develop and maintain maintenance standards and protocols to ensure consistency across all locations, conducting site visits and inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, vendor performance, and expenditures, collaborating with store managers and regional facilities managers to address specific maintenance needs and concerns.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a strategic maintenance plan that aligns with the company's long-term goals and objectives, creating a 3-year outlook on the life cycle for all maintenance equipment and identifying key milestones, potential risks, and necessary interventions.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in facilities management, with a focus on exterior maintenance.
  • Skills: Proven experience in vendor management and contract negotiation, excellent budget management and financial analysis skills, strong organizational and project management skills, ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
