Position Overview: As a Lead Facilities Engineering Specialist, you will provide essential engineering support to implement the scope of work, conduct technical assessments, perform preliminary economic evaluations, and oversee the construction and commissioning of various projects. Your focus will be on Central Tank Batteries, facility automation, produced water gathering systems, gas and oil gathering systems, and crude oil tank farms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance existing equipment for safer and more efficient operations.
  • Develop operational guidelines for facility management.
  • Design and execute facility plans and procedures.
  • Create cost estimates and prepare Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) documents for field development initiatives.
  • Review all facility-related expenditures within designated areas.
  • Diagnose existing processes and recommend optimizations and enhancements.
  • Generate and/or evaluate engineering documentation such as Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Operational Control Philosophies, Material Specifications, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and Piping Plans.
  • Select, specify, and draft datasheets for new facility equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Verify construction compliance with design and construction documentation.
  • Oversee project planning and management for safe execution during construction and commissioning.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  • Strong computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse audiences including management, technical staff, and field personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the design of onshore oil, gas, and water production and/or processing facilities.
  • Expertise in hydraulic analysis, equipment sizing/design, and system design.
  • At least 5 years of experience in facilities construction and/or production operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with simulation software (e.g., PipePhase and/or ProMax) is advantageous.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
