Overview

We are looking for a Lead Systems Test Specialist to become a vital part of our team at Leidos, contributing to the advancement of the MSBRS initiative within the Civil Transportation Solutions sector. In this capacity, you will take charge of formulating testing protocols, executing preliminary assessments, and directing formal evaluations in collaboration with the FAA to ensure that a Mode-S Secondary Surveillance Radar meets its designated functional and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement testing protocols for Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) at FAA facilities, focusing on coverage, performance, and integration validation.
  • Oversee formal testing at designated FAA locations, managing a team of testing engineers.
  • Evaluate and confirm the appropriate specification and selection of testing apparatus.
  • Integrate testing equipment into a measurement framework and create automated testing scripts.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of pertinent experience, or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in developing testing protocols and producing clear, precise documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with specialized Radar testing equipment and simulation platforms.
  • Knowledge of Radar and RF propagation concepts.
  • Experience with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and the automation of testing instruments.
  • Proficiency in National Instrument LabView or similar test automation software.

Travel Expectations: Up to 33% travel to various testing sites for preliminary assessments and formal evaluations.

Compensation Range: $101,000 - $183,300.00
