Key Responsibilities- Provide telephone and digital support to patients and provider offices, responding to a high volume of calls and inquiries.
- Schedule appointments and procedures using electronic scheduling systems, adhering to complex scheduling protocols and procedures.
- Review referral information to ensure accuracy in scheduling, reporting potential issues and coordinating schedules as needed.
- Pre-register patients in electronic health records systems, collecting patient demographics and insurance information.
- Perform real-time eligibility checks for insurance benefits and update patient profiles accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff to resolve issues and provide support.
- Utilize advanced active listening skills to handle special and priority calls, such as urgent and emergent conditions.
- Address and resolve patient complaints and concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of paid customer service experience preferred.
- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple calls and responsibilities.
- Intermediate to advanced math skills, including analysis and data manipulation.
- Intermediate ability and experience in computer applications, including electronic medical records systems and Microsoft Office.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team to achieve organizational goals.
