Summary:
This role provides clinical support to patients in our physician practice under the supervision of a physician. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to operate medical equipment, and have a strong understanding of electronic health records.

Essential Functions:
1. Ability to operate or learn to operate medical equipment, including pulse oximeters, EKG machines, and nebulizers.
2. Knowledge and skills to provide age-appropriate care to patients.
3. Proficient with electronic health records and able to document patient information accurately.
4. Phlebotomy skills are requested, and the ability to operate basic lab equipment is required.
5. Ability to obtain prior authorization for medications, testing, and procedures.
6. Knowledge of current vaccine schedules designated by the CDC.
7. Schedule surgeries and triage incoming clinical phone calls and messages from patients.
8. Maintain proper inventory of medical supplies.

Required Education:
An Associate's degree is required, and a Bachelor's degree is preferred. A Registered Nurse license in North Carolina (or a compact state) is required, and current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is necessary within 30 days of hire.
