Position Overview
As a key player in managing large-scale initiatives, you will be responsible for overseeing significant projects that necessitate heightened scrutiny and management to reduce contractual and operational risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the execution of tasks and related activities to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Ensure resource allocation aligns with established policies to guarantee authorized expenditure in line with budgetary commitments.
  • Supervise project managers in crafting intricate project timelines and financial plans for final endorsement.
  • Provide guidance in developing and sustaining effective project management methodologies.
  • Mentor team members in the management of multifaceted projects, focusing on cost, budget, schedule, scope, and quality control.
  • Act as a representative at meetings, briefings, and conferences, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders regarding project-related matters.
  • Assist the Civil Works Branch Chief in program execution.
Employment Conditions
Appointment may be contingent upon a suitability or fitness assessment following a comprehensive background check.
This role requires the submission of a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry and annually thereafter.

Qualifications
Eligibility:

Experience Requirements:
To qualify, candidates must demonstrate relevant experience, which may include both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer roles through National Service programs and other organizations.
Your resume should clearly articulate your pertinent experience; if qualifying based on education, transcripts will be required.

Specialized Experience:
Applicants should possess at least one year of specialized experience that includes:
  • Supervising project managers or team members in the planning, design, and execution of complex civil works projects, such as levees, dams, or hydropower initiatives.
  • Leading cross-functional teams to deliver intricate water resource management projects within established timelines and budgets, adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Providing strategic advice to senior leadership on challenging technical issues related to large-scale civil works projects.

Additional Information
Applicants may be required to complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. Proof of U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
