Cold End Operations Supervisor

Position Overview: The Cold End Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing the cold end section of the manufacturing facility, focusing on the selection and packaging of high-quality glass containers that meet both company and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain a robust safety program aimed at achieving zero workplace accidents.
  • Develop and execute strategies for processing held ware efficiently.
  • Ensure optimal performance in the load center and carton areas to minimize held ware and facilitate smooth delivery of quality products to clients.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members while fostering positive labor relations through effective labor contract application.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure efficient job transitions that prioritize time management and quality standards.
  • Prepare and assign work tasks to employees while maintaining precise records of operations.
  • Establish and nurture effective working relationships within the department, across other departments, with union representatives, and within the corporate structure.
  • Adhere to environmental and food safety regulations as stipulated in plant policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts.
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with SAP software.
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols.
  • At least two (2) years in a supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles, including kaizens and 5S methodologies.
