POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the guidance of the Production Supervisor and in collaboration with the Team Leader, you will safely execute a range of tasks to effectively assemble, fit, and connect components in the production of large mechanical systems, adhering to specifications and production timelines while exercising independent judgment with minimal supervision.
- Utilize tools effectively to manufacture or repair components and products.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to assemble mechanical systems.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and standards set by the company and industry.
- Accurately interpret documents, including diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Identify defective items and manage them according to established protocols.
Primary Duties
- Clean and assemble component parts, machined elements, and subassemblies for mechanical systems.
- Employ various hand tools, pneumatic devices, hydraulic tools, and precision measuring instruments to complete assembly tasks.
- Remove imperfections from parts using hand files, hone stones, or portable pneumatic grinders.
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to transport parts and materials and to assemble large components.
- Conduct minor adjustments, repairs, or setups on equipment or machines under supervision.
Perform all job functions safely, in accordance with plant safety standards, and report any issues immediately to the Team Leader or Production Supervisor.
Additional Responsibilities:

Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
- 0-2 years of experience in heavy equipment manufacturing is desirable.
- Familiarity with mechanical concepts, practices, and procedures is essential.
- Relevant coursework from trade school or college is a plus.
- Proficiency in using and interpreting a tape measure and understanding job-related blueprints is required.
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately.
- Capable of operating overhead cranes and forklifts once certified by the company.
- Basic computer skills, including file management, are desired.
- Dependability and dedication to completing tasks accurately and efficiently are crucial.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to new challenges are essential.
Ability to work independently with clear instructions and training, as well as collaboratively in a professional team environment.
Ability to follow detailed written and/or verbal instructions.
Capacity to meet production standards and deadlines.
Willingness to accept constructive feedback and make necessary adjustments, as well as the readiness to rework tasks as needed.
