Job Title: Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team in Englewood, CO or Westminster, CO. As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing process improvements that drive business growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop heat and material balances for new projects using process simulation tools.
  • Perform equipment sizing calculations and prepare equipment data sheets.
  • Conduct detailed hydraulic calculations to determine pipe sizes, control valve sizing, compressor and pump duties, etc.
  • Develop Design Basis for new projects.
  • Develop Process Control Narrative document and support Cause & Effect document.
  • Create process flow diagrams (PFD) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Participate in safety reviews, HAZOP/PHAs and PSM activities.
  • Maintain effective communication with project team members and with clients, vendors, and contractors.
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals for engineering services.
  • Support schedule planning for projects including coordinating staffing resources with Process Engineering Manager.
  • Support construction, commissioning, and start-up efforts, draft operating procedures and provide operator training manual input.
Requirements:
  • BS in engineering from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program with a strong academic background.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required as well as a professional demeanor.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Able to travel as necessary for client meetings, job site visits, start-up activities, off-site training, industry-related conventions/seminars, etc. (up to 20% travel).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Oil and gas industry experience in midstream and/or upstream.
  • Skills in HYSYS, Synergi, VMG Symmetry, and/or ProMax preferred.
