Job Title: Principal Engineer

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the development of engineering designs and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply sound and diversified knowledge of discipline engineering principles and practices in broad areas of project assignments.
  • Provide non-managerial leadership to the engineering design teams as the technical design leader and lead the design team on technical issues.
  • Provide input to Project Managers and technical management concerning potential process and design improvements related to engineering design and technology.
  • Maintain an expert level of technical expertise in one or more engineering disciplines by identifying individual training needs and scheduling appropriate training programs.
  • Initiate and maintain extensive contacts with key engineers and officials in other organizations to confirm that engineering practices applied are consistent with current engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and current technological innovations.
  • Lead training and development of other engineers to provide technical guidance and training related to engineering design and code compliance issues around engineering expertise.
  • Attend and participate in industry-related committees and/or organizations to ensure ENTRUST is participating in cultivating the industry landscape for the future.
  • Maintain, implement, and monitor a system of quality control consistent with ENTRUST's policies and procedures.
  • Develop new policies, standards, typicals, tools, and other technical items for company-wide use and implementation.
  • Perform quality audits on client deliverables to ensure ENTRUST maintains our standard of excellence.
  • Lead in the technical committees at ENTRUST and throughout the industry to develop and maintain engineering standards and SOPs.
  • Identify gaps in technical knowledge and capabilities across the organization and enact solutions to close the gaps.
  • Regularly assess available analysis and design tools used at ENTRUST and recommend/develop additional tools as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Current PE License in their specific discipline.
