Pacific Medical Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Prosthetist Orthotist Specialist to join our team at our Bend, OR Patient Care Facility.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated professional to evaluate, fabricate, and custom fit artificial limbs and orthopedic braces. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing and making artificial limbs, designing and fitting orthopedic braces, and supervising a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine and interview patients to determine their appliance needs and identify factors that could affect appliance fit.
  • Fabricate and fit devices on patients, making adjustments for proper fit, function, and comfort.
  • Instruct patients in the use and care of orthoses and prostheses.
  • Design orthopedic and prosthetic devices based on physicians' prescriptions and examination and measurement of patients.
  • Maintain patients' records in accordance with ABC and CMS standards.
  • Select materials and components for device construction.
  • Confer with physicians to formulate specifications and prescriptions for orthopedic and/or prosthetic devices.
  • Repair, rebuild, and modify prosthetic and orthopedic appliances.
  • Train and supervise orthopedic and prosthetic assistants and technicians.
Requirements
  • Must be currently licensed and/or certified and in good standing by governing agency in your field of study.
  • Must maintain CME's annually in accordance with ABC and BOC guidelines.
  • Must practice within your scope of work unless privileged by a supervisor or practitioner of another specialty.
  • Must adhere to the guidelines as set forth in the employee handbook of Pacific Medical Inc. upon hire.
  • Must attend and show competency in HIPAA compliance, sexual harassment training, and universal precautions training.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000
