Pacific Medical, Inc., a leading distributor in durable medical equipment since 1987, is committed to enhancing patient care through exceptional service and innovative product technology. We are currently looking for a full-time Certified Prosthetist Orthotist to join our dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough evaluations, interviews, and measurements of patients to determine their specific needs for prosthetic and orthotic devices.
- Fit, assess, and adjust devices to ensure optimal comfort, function, and performance for patients.
- Educate patients on the proper use and maintenance of their orthotic and prosthetic devices.
- Design and create custom orthopedic and prosthetic devices based on detailed prescriptions from healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with industry standards.
- Create and modify plaster casts for the fabrication of devices.
- Select appropriate materials and components for device construction.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop specifications and prescriptions for devices.
- Repair and modify existing prosthetic and orthopedic appliances as needed.
- Oversee the construction of appliances and guide junior staff in their development.
- Provide training and supervision to orthopedic and prosthetic assistants and technicians.
- Stay updated on industry advancements by attending relevant conferences and seminars.
- Demonstrate and explain the use of orthopedic and prosthetic appliances to other healthcare professionals.
- Manage inventory of materials at all locations.
- Current licensure and/or certification in good standing from the appropriate governing body.
- Commitment to ongoing education and compliance with continuing education requirements.
- Ability to work within the established scope of practice.
- Adherence to company policies and guidelines.
- Completion of mandatory training in compliance and safety protocols.
- Possession of any additional state-required licenses.
- Leadership in maintaining facility accreditation standards.
- Active participation in performance evaluations and training sessions.
Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000
