We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Prosthetist Orthotist to join our team at Pacific Medical Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, fabricating, and custom fitting artificial limbs and orthopedic braces for patients. This role requires a strong understanding of orthopedic rehabilitation and prosthetic devices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine and interview patients to determine their appliance needs and identify factors that could affect appliance fit.
  • Fabricate and custom fit artificial limbs and orthopedic braces to meet individual patient needs.
  • Design and modify prosthetic and orthotic devices based on physician prescriptions and patient examination results.
  • Confer with physicians to formulate specifications and prescriptions for orthopedic and prosthetic devices.
  • Repair, rebuild, and modify prosthetic and orthotic appliances as needed.
  • Train and supervise orthopedic and prosthetic assistants and technicians.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Current licensure and/or certification in good standing by governing agency in your field of study.
  • Annual completion of continuing medical education (CME) requirements.
  • Ability to practice within your scope of work and adhere to company guidelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
