Job Title: Accounting Manager

Metro Inclusive Health is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures, and providing leadership and guidance to senior accountants and specialists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures and best practices.
  • Assist with grant reporting and preparation of 1099 forms.
  • Maintain accurate fund accounting records and ensure compliance with donor restrictions and grant requirements.
  • Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and documentation requested for various audits.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to senior accountants and specialists.
Requirements:
  • 4-5 years of nonprofit finance and accounting experience.
  • BS/BA degree in accounting required.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Must have at least 3 years of managing a finance team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP.
  • Excellent judgment and attention to details.
  • Experience with Blackbaud Financial System is required.
  • Experience managing people is required.
