The Ohio Education Association (OEA) is seeking an experienced professional to join its Organizing and Member Engagement team as a UniServ Membership Consultant.

About the Role:

This critical position plays a key role in driving OEA's statewide membership recruitment, retention, and engagement strategy.

As a UniServ Membership Consultant, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing effective membership strategies that support OEA's goals and objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive membership growth plans to increase OEA's presence and influence in Ohio's schools, colleges, and universities.
  • Lead efforts to build local association capacity and leadership development through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Collaborate with department directors and staff to develop and implement member benefit communication strategies.
  • Analyze membership data and trends to inform strategic decisions and drive results-oriented initiatives.
  • Conduct training sessions for local leaders and OEA staff on best practices in membership engagement and development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience in developing and implementing evidence-based membership engagement strategies
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with contemporary organizing methods and tools
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • A willingness to travel extensively throughout the state, work evenings and weekends as needed

Salary Range:

$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
