Job Overview

Position Summary

The Utility Worker plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of the facility by managing the loading and unloading of both raw materials and finished products, while ensuring the cleanliness of the plant and its equipment.

Work Schedule

This position is specifically for a NIGHT shift, with hours from 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM.

Key Responsibilities

This job description does not limit management's ability to assign or reassign tasks and responsibilities as needed.

  • Utilizes high-pressure hoses to clean the parking lot, plant machinery, and surrounding areas, including any spilled materials.
  • Responsible for painting and washing plant equipment and building fixtures as required.
  • Must be proficient in using standard hand tools (such as hammers, screwdrivers, and wrenches) and power tools (including drills, impact drivers, and saws).
  • Operates company vehicles safely around the plant and property.
  • Ensures a consistent flow of raw materials from trailers to the dock in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Inspects and reports on the condition of raw material loads and the interior of trucks.
  • Performs various general labor tasks, including janitorial duties and vehicle cleaning.
  • Prioritizes safety in accordance with all company safety protocols and regulations.
  • Completes all other assigned duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to the nature of the work and safety considerations.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or agricultural settings is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Ability to follow both oral and written instructions is essential.
  • Willingness to work nights and/or weekends as necessary.
  • A CDL "B" license with a tanker endorsement is a plus.
