proactive Senior Telecommunications Project Manager for a client based in Alaska.
This role will primarily be remote, but will necessitate travel within the state of Alaska.
Travel may involve accessing remote locations via helicopter and small aircraft.
Position Summary:
The Telecommunications Construction Manager will collaborate closely with the OSP division of the company. They will oversee multiple network expansion construction initiatives, managing daily operations and fostering customer relationships while adhering to timelines and budgetary constraints. A thorough understanding of system design and intricate network architecture is highly advantageous for this position. The candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess critical problem-solving abilities to make swift decisions when necessary.Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Direct multiple network expansion construction initiatives, ensuring completion within established timelines and budgets. Field Operations: Oversee daily construction field operations, providing technical direction and ensuring quality control. Customer Relations: Cultivate customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and promptly addressing any concerns. Productivity Tracking: Implement and assess company tracking systems to evaluate productivity and project advancement. Technical Oversight: Comprehend and manage telecommunication construction processes, including electronics and telephony apparatus. Cable Identification: Recognize various cable types and wiring, with an understanding of industry-standard color codes. Stakeholder Communication: Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Team Coordination: Align team objectives and protocols with the overall company strategy. Fiber Network Expansion: Execute and deliver numerous fiber construction projects, emphasizing aggressive network growth. Budget Management: Adhere to financial constraints, monitor expenditures, and report as necessary. Relationship Building: Establish and maintain connections with regional utilities and local and state government entities. Documentation: Keep precise plant records and as-built documentation upon project completion. Continuous Learning: Engage in educational and networking opportunities to remain informed about advancements in network operations and technology.Unique Opportunity:
