Teleradiology Coordinator

The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging at the University of Virginia seeks a highly skilled Teleradiology Coordinator to provide critical administrative support to the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for registering radiographic studies and patient information, ensuring timely patient study results are returned to contracted sites, and coordinating patient care services.
Key Responsibilities:- Register patients and edit study information to ensure easy retrieval by radiologists
- Identify, edit, and synchronize prior studies for comparison
- Resolve technical issues personally or escalate to PACS administrators/engineers
- Coordinate follow-on actions with reading radiologists, including connecting providers and advising technicians
- Research and correct conflicting patient information
- Work with site representatives to resolve discrepancies and make changes in systems
- Manage image transmission issues and ensure background information is available to sites
- Provide technical advice to outside sites and ensure confidentiality and conflict resolution
- Recommend solutions for operational efficiency and report systemic problems
- Provide cross-coverage and cross-training for coworkers
- High School Diploma
- At least one year of relevant experience
This is a primarily sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. Occasional travel may be required for meetings and programs.
