Business Development Representative Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our dynamic team at BBSI Southern California. In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities and building strong relationships with potential clients.
Job OverviewThe ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, minimum 1-2 years of business-to-business sales experience with an emphasis on product sales, and good organizational skills. They should also have intermediate skills in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as PowerPoint.
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, although it is not required. The successful candidate will work closely with the Business Development Manager and supervisor to provide regular input on all account activity, including status updates on a weekly basis.
Meeting and exceeding individual sales goals will be essential to success in this role, which requires performing additional duties as required or requested.
Key Responsibilities- Identify potential clients and decision-makers within client organizations
- Responsible for all stages of the sales cycle: prospecting, introduction, qualifying, presentation, objections, quote, and close
- Follow up on customer sample requests, proposals, or quotes
- Make high-volume outbound calls to prospective clients to gain business
- Develop strategic relationships with existing customers to increase market share with products and services by adding additional product lines
- Answer inbound sales calls and make outbound sales calls (including cold calling)
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone and email
- Enter sales orders and verify invoices
- Track stock levels to ensure timely handling of customer orders
- Follow up and document all customer interactions
- Assist Operations with special needs
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Excellent oral and written English language communication skills
- Minimum 1-2 years of business-to-business sales experience with an emphasis on product sales
- Good organizational skills
- Intermediate skills in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as PowerPoint
