Asset Protection Specialist

As a key player in safeguarding assets within the Distribution Center, the Loss Prevention Associate supports departmental goals through various responsibilities. These include, but are not limited to, ensuring physical security, reporting policy breaches to management, conducting internal theft investigations, overseeing compliance audits, data management, documentation, and managing Gatehouse operations.

**Availability Required: Sunday through Wednesday - 7 pm to 5 am**

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the protection of all Kohl's assets, encompassing physical assets (facility, machinery, and property), human assets (Kohl's associates and visitors), and merchandise.
  • Collaborate with Distribution Center Loss Prevention Assistant Supervisors and Facilities Management to diligently monitor security policies and procedures.
  • Report incidents of associate theft or safety violations to the Distribution Center Loss Prevention Assistant Supervisor.
  • Participate in internal theft investigations as directed, adhering strictly to Kohl's Loss Prevention Internal Theft Investigation and Confidentiality Guidelines.
  • Monitor compliance with all Kohl's Department Stores/Distribution Center Safety Policies and Procedures and actively engage in the Distribution Center Safety Committee.
  • Conduct Distribution Center Loss Prevention Audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Report any production fraud or shortcuts by associates to the Distribution Center Loss Prevention Assistant Supervisor.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn and effectively execute all processes within the Distribution Center.
  • Monitor associates through floor observation and CCTV to ensure adherence to processing guidelines.
  • Perform data entry for all audit results and related information.
  • Manage all Gatehouse operations and data entry as outlined in the Distribution Center Loss Prevention Manual.
  • Assist with store inquiries as needed.
  • Engage in special projects and additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED

  • Commitment to Kohl's Ethical Standards.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and maintain confidentiality.
  • Capability to multitask, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to follow instructions and accept guidance.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Consistent and accurate task performance.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Basic skills in math, computer operations, reading, legible handwriting, and effective verbal and written communication.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with prior experience in Distribution Center, Law Enforcement, or Store Loss Prevention preferred.

PREFERRED

  • Experience in auditing.
  • Familiarity with software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and PeopleSoft.
