Our municipal water resources division is rapidly expanding, collaborating with developing communities in central Indiana to create essential environmental infrastructure. This includes projects related to water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment plants, distribution and collection systems, and stormwater management systems. As a Hydraulic Engineering Specialist, you will join our team in tackling a variety of client projects, delivering optimal solutions to their challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct design work and calculations for water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment plants, and distribution and collection systems utilizing AUTOCAD Civil 3D.
  • Perform hydraulic analyses and design for water and wastewater systems operating under gravity or pressure networks.
  • Develop comprehensive water/wastewater plans to align with submission timelines for multiple projects.
  • Analyze and execute designs for water mains, sanitary sewers, pump stations for both sanitary and stormwater, booster stations, and treatment facilities.
  • Manage regulatory coordination and oversee permit applications.
  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures for plans, revisions, and markups.
  • Assist the Project Manager in budget development and estimating the scope and potential budget overruns.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, or a related field is required.

An EIT State of Indiana License is mandatory.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in Water Resources design and/or project management is essential.

Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD Plant 3D, WaterCAD, and SewerCAD is preferred.

Familiarity with federal and state environmental regulations is important.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.
