Middle School Science Educator

Position Overview:

Riverside Adventist Christian School, a vibrant institution affiliated with the North Pacific Union Conference and the Oregon Conference of SDA, is seeking a passionate and skilled Middle School Science Educator for a part-time role. Our community thrives on the collaborative spirit between our church and school, fostering an environment where students can truly experience the love of God.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instructing a class of 18 students, delivering engaging, standards-aligned lessons that inspire excitement about the wonders of God's creation.
  • Conducting weekly lesson planning, grading assignments, and providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.

Effective communication with parents and fellow staff members is essential to maintaining our nurturing and supportive campus culture.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SDA Elementary Certification
  • Science Endorsements
  • Experience in student-centered learning environments
  • Familiarity with standards-based and project-based learning methodologies

Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution and demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States. Previous experience in elementary education is preferred, along with a valid denominational elementary certification. Compensation will be based on an hourly rate as a local hire.
