We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Elementary & Middle School Art Specialist to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive art program that meets the needs and interests of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development: Plan and prepare a program of study that aligns with the school's curriculum goals and meets the needs and interests of our students.
- Instructional Strategies: Establish and communicate clear learning objectives, develop age-appropriate instructional strategies, and demonstrate and assist students in using different techniques and media to develop art works aligned to their artistic abilities.
- Classroom Environment: Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is age-appropriate, setting and maintaining acceptable standards of classroom behavior to establish an orderly learning environment.
- Material Management: Show students how to properly use and care for materials, tools, and equipment.
Requirements:
- Strong background in art education and experience working with elementary and middle school students.
- Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive art program that meets the needs and interests of our students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other stakeholders to achieve school goals.
Compensation: The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
