Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Technician/Monitor Technician to join our team at Select Medical's Critical Illness Recovery Hospitals. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to alarms, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Continuously monitor and interpret ECG rhythms, identifying basic, lethal, and artifact rhythms.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to all alarms, ensuring timely interventions.
  • Verify correct identification of rhythms and maintain EKG monitor alarms.
  • Complete EKG interpretations, including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, and waveform alterations.
  • Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training.
  • Ability to complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on education platform within 30 days of start date.
