Job Title: Telemetry Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Technician to join our team at Select Medical. As a Telemetry Technician, you will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to alarms, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, identifying and responding to abnormal patterns
  • Verify correct identification of basic and lethal rhythms, as well as artifact
  • Maintain EKG monitor alarms and respond to all alarms as needed
  • Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Complete EKG interpretations, including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, and waveform alterations
  • Ensure strip interpretations are validated by RN

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training
  • Ability to complete and pass EKG class for Monitor Techs and required competencies on education platform within 30 days of start date
