Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Telemetry Technician/Monitor Technician to join our team at Select Specialty Hospital - Columbus South. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to alarms, and providing exceptional patient care.

This is a PRN/Per Diem/As Needed position, with hours from 7a - 7p and a competitive hourly rate of $20.00. You will also be eligible for shift differentials for nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

As a Telemetry Technician/Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Continuously observing all monitors assigned and responding to alarms promptly and appropriately.
  • Completing EKG interpretations, including rate, regularity, PRI, QRS, QTI, QTc, ST segment, wave form alterations, and rhythm interpretation.
  • Ensuring strip interpretations are validated by RN.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred background as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Licensed Paramedic, or RN nursing student with EKG training.
