Quality Assurance Specialist
Position Overview:
The Quality Assurance Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring product integrity on the manufacturing floor, focusing on maintaining all nonconforming items and processes within the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the resolution of internal Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
Conduct audits of the manufacturing workflow.
Evaluate materials and products, generating Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
Establish and document testing protocols.
Assess and validate incoming raw material COAs and Certificates of Compliance (COCs).
Contribute to the corrective and preventive action initiatives by performing laboratory tests (including Hot Set, Melt Index, Optical Comparator/Shadowgraph, Calipers, and Micrometers) and utilizing other necessary lab instruments.
Assist in ensuring calibration compliance and verifying equipment functionality.Gather and analyze quality data.
Support the formulation of testing methodologies and inspection strategies.
Identify the root causes of product defects and necessary reworks.
Educate the production workforce on quality control practices to enhance product quality.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Effective communication skills (both verbal and written).
Ability to identify the origins of product defects and rework issues.
Education & Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
AMPP NACE Level I certification is advantageous.
3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Familiarity with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Audits, Cash Flow, and Closing processes is a plus.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Regular exposure to moving mechanical components and vehicles.
Noise levels typically range from moderate to high.
