Quality Engineering Specialist

Reporting Structure

The Quality Engineering Specialist (QES) will report directly to the QA Assistant Manager for Mass Production.

Position Summary

The role of the Quality Engineer is vital within Pacific Manufacturing Ohio. Quality Engineers act as the key liaison between internal teams and external partners. They are responsible for receiving communications from external stakeholders, assessing discrepancies between standards and actual performance, and collaborating with internal departments to mitigate production impacts while ensuring high-quality assurance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate exceptional communication abilities.
  • Interpret technical drawings and comprehend specifications established by various clients.
  • Convert complex specifications into accessible formats for floor-level operators and inspectors.
  • Evaluate process conditions to identify potential quality and safety risks.
  • Proactively address potential quality and safety concerns.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be prepared to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred; a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience: 2 years in Manufacturing Quality or 4 years in Manufacturing Operations.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio) and the ability to read blueprints.
  • Valid Driver's License is necessary.
  • Attributes: Strong communication skills, analytical mindset, eagerness to learn, and ability to work independently.
  • Physical Requirements: Capability to lift 25 lbs, wear personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the day, and stand or walk for extended periods.
