Job Summary:
The Department of Theatre and Dance at Santa Clara University seeks applicants for a Quarterly Adjunct Lecturer (non-tenure track) position to teach a course in Rehearsal and Performance. This is a non-exempt, hourly position.
Responsibilities:
- Work in the costume shop according to a schedule coordinated with the Costume Shop Manager.
- Assist in teaching costume construction skills to student work crew.
- Perform costume construction tasks as coordinated by the Costume Shop Manager.
- Fulfill other instructional or academic duties as requested by the Chair of the Department.
Course Information:
THTR 29/129 Rehearsal and Performance: serve as Costume Shop Assistant to help Costume Shop Manager teach student work crew costume construction skills and create costumes for theatrical productions.
Requirements:
- BS or BA degree with degree in Theatre preferred, or commensurate professional experience.
- Extensive costume construction experience required.
- Both professional and educational costume shop experience.
- An understanding of and appreciation for teaching theatre within a liberal arts context desired.
