Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Safety: Ensure the safe and effective dispensing of medications, maintaining accurate patient records, and adhering to CVS Health's patient safety protocols.
  • Pharmacy Professional Practice: Stay up-to-date with the latest pharmacy practices, regulations, and industry developments to provide expert guidance to patients and colleagues.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including DEA and state pharmacy board requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, conduct audits, and implement corrective actions to maintain high-quality patient care.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Personnel Management: Supervise and develop the skills of pharmacy technicians, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to ensure excellent team performance.
  • Inventory Management: Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and maintaining accurate records of medications and supplies.
  • Financial Profitability: Contribute to the financial success of the pharmacy by managing costs, optimizing workflows, and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Loss Prevention: Identify and mitigate risks, implementing measures to prevent losses and protect CVS Health's assets.
  • Workflow Management: Analyze and optimize pharmacy workflows, streamlining processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Active Pharmacy License: Hold an active pharmacy license in the state where you are employed.
  • Immunization Certification: Possess immunization certification through an accredited organization.
  • Background Check: Pass a background check, including a review of your DEA registration and any pending felony charges or convictions.
