Job Summary:

As a Neurodiagnostic Technologist, you will perform intraoperative neuromonitoring to record the function of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles using a variety of techniques. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat potentially life-threatening neurological disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform tests to diagnose neurological disorders
  • Conduct advanced monitoring during brain and spine surgery
  • Review planned procedures and orders to determine the structures at risk
  • Prepare and position equipment to ensure patient safety
  • Maintain equipment and provide findings, results, and descriptive analysis
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology or completion of a Neurodiagnostic Technology program
  • No experience required
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification
  • Certification for Neurophysiological Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) or Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R. EEG T.) certification
Work Environment:
  • Constant standing and walking
  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception
  • Frequent use of hearing and speech
  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs
  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs
