Job Overview

Position: CNC Maintenance Technician

Location: Tempe, AZ (On-site required)

Shift: Full-time, day shift

Bonus: Eligible for Quarterly Shop Bonus, up to $300 per quarter

Role Summary

The CNC Maintenance Technician is accountable for maintaining the peak performance and dependability of CNC machinery. This includes conducting Preventative Maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment, and collaborating with team members to enhance production efficiency. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records of operations, production, and maintenance activities while adhering to safety protocols and ensuring a tidy work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repairing and maintaining production machinery
  • Executing electrical and mechanical tasks
  • Diagnosing and resolving machine issues
  • Utilizing diagnostic tools, including multimeters and infrared scanning devices
  • Inspecting equipment condition in accordance with warranty agreements
  • Ordering necessary replacement components
  • Troubleshooting hydraulic, electronic, and software systems
  • Coordinating with contractors and maintenance staff
  • Documenting and tracking work orders
  • Conducting tests and adjusting systems and components
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment
  • Developing and executing annual PM schedules and performing all levels of PMs as per the schedule
  • Overseeing utility equipment including AC units, compressors, and bay doors, while liaising with contractors for quotes and services

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in CNC equipment maintenance and repair
  • Ability to interpret safety regulations, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals
  • Experience in setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines
  • Capability to diagnose and repair various equipment and systems, including cranes, CNC machines, robotics, and welding/cutting tools
  • Proficiency in addressing mechanical and electrical issues promptly
  • Skill in replacing defective components as necessary
  • Ability to enhance production efficiency through effective maintenance coordination
  • Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance methodologies
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivated approach
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with team members

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training
  • A minimum of 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience; additional relevant education may substitute for work experience
  • Strong mathematical and computer skills
  • Experience with manual labor tasks
  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Capability to lift moderate to heavy objects, up to 35 lbs, with assistance as needed
  • Ability to stand or walk for the majority of the shift, with flexibility to bend, kneel, stoop, and squat as required
