Job Overview

Position: Night Shift CNC Lathe Machinist

Industry: Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing

Shift: Night

Compensation: Eligible for Quarterly Shop Bonus Plan, up to $300 per quarter. Night shift position also eligible for a $1,000 bonus after the first 1,000 hours worked.

Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC lathes for the production of aerospace components.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including checking fluid levels and cleaning.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Utilize CNC controls, including G & M program codes, effectively.
  • Manage tools, including entering offsets for tool wear and replacing worn tools.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T standards.
  • Use inspection and measuring equipment to verify product dimensions.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and document findings as required.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for job tracking and discrepancies.
  • Communicate job-related issues to supervisory personnel for resolution.
  • Report any machine malfunctions or collisions to management.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in using computer software and ERP systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience operating CNC lathes.
  • Familiarity with G & M codes, particularly for Fanuc programming.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T and inspection standards.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly.
  • Capability to stand for the majority of the shift.
