Position Overview
Under the supervision of the RN Nursing Supervisor, Unit Manager, or Center Nurse Executive, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality nursing care while ensuring optimal clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. The RN operates within the guidelines established by the State Nurse Practice Act and is responsible for delegating patient care tasks to LPNs and CNAs in accordance with their competencies. The RN plays a crucial role in managing patient care through comprehensive assessments and collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and their families to formulate effective care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Assessment:
1.1. Gather, validate, and document both objective and subjective patient data;
1.2. Prioritize data collection based on individual patient needs;
1.3. Analyze collected data thoroughly;
1.4. Identify actual or potential patient issues based on data analysis;
Essential Skills:
1. Proficient physical assessment skills and a solid understanding of nursing principles, including the ability to recognize symptoms and manage emergencies effectively.
2. Familiarity with medications, their appropriate dosages, and anticipated effects.
3. Capability to coordinate, delegate, and oversee nursing tasks, along with problem-solving and decision-making skills.
4. Ability to foster a patient-centered care environment.
5. Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
6. Basic computer literacy.
7. Ensure quality care by adhering to standards set by healthcare providers and delivering care education to patients, either in person or via phone, while complying with guidelines (OSHA, FDA, HIPAA).
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.
- Certification in CPR, ACLS, and BCLS.
- Understanding of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to lift and position patients as necessary.
Work Schedule:
6:30 AM to 4:00 PM
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $74.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 40 – 50 hours per week
