Position Overview

Under the supervision of the RN Nursing Supervisor or designated Nurse Leader, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care while ensuring positive clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. The RN operates within the parameters set by the State Nurse Practice Act and is tasked with delegating patient care responsibilities to LPNs and CNAs according to their qualifications. The RN plays a crucial role in managing patient care through comprehensive nursing assessments and collaborating with the healthcare team, patients, and families to formulate effective care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Assessment:

1.1. Gather, validate, and document both objective and subjective patient data;

1.2. Prioritize data collection based on individual patient needs;

1.3. Analyze collected data thoroughly;

1.4. Identify actual or potential patient issues based on data analysis;

Essential Skills:

1. Proficient physical assessment skills and extensive knowledge of nursing principles, including the ability to recognize symptoms and manage emergencies effectively.

2. Understanding of medications, including proper dosages and anticipated effects.

3. Capability to coordinate, delegate, and oversee nursing tasks, as well as problem-solving and decision-making skills.

4. Ability to foster a patient-centered care environment.

5. Proficient communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

6. Basic computer literacy.

7. Ensure quality care by adhering to established standards and providing patient education in compliance with relevant guidelines (OSHA, FDA, HIPAA).

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse.
  • Certification in CPR, ACLS, and BCLS.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to lift and position patients as required.

Work Schedule:

Standard hours are from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $74.00 per hour

Expected Weekly Hours: 40 – 50 hours
