Position Overview:

Are you enthusiastic about nurturing young minds and fostering their growth through engaging and playful learning experiences? Join our dedicated team at Expressive Beginnings Child Care as an Early Childhood Educator.

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual who is committed to supporting the development of young children, facilitating their learning through play and exploration. This role involves working with children aged 3 to 5 years.

Compensation for this role: $15.00 / hr - $18.20 / hr

The salary for the selected candidate will be determined based on various factors, including departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialties, and training. The stated range reflects the organization's good faith estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and oversee the educational program for the classroom in alignment with the center's policies, philosophy, and curriculum.
  • Ensure the classroom meets all relevant state regulations.
  • Maintain necessary documentation as required.
  • Tailor the program to meet the individual needs of children, considering their interests, special needs, talents, and learning pace.
  • Instruct children on proper health practices related to hygiene, nutrition, dental care, and physical well-being.
  • Uphold the organization and aesthetic of the classroom environment.
  • Engage with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities, while addressing any concerns with the director.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, or a CDA credential, or relevant experience in a daycare setting with a plan to obtain an associate's degree or CDA credential.
  • Alternative educational backgrounds will be considered if the candidate is willing to pursue early childhood education.
  • Knowledge of state childcare regulations is essential.
  • Ability to engage physically with children, including getting on the floor to play and lifting up to 45 pounds.
  • A mature and sensitive individual who can relate well to both children and adults.
