Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Plan, implement, and supervise the program for the class, ensuring alignment with our center's policies, philosophy, and curriculum.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment, adhering to all NYS regulations and required documentation.
  • Child-Centered Approach: Tailor the program to meet the unique needs, interests, and talents of individual children, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Health and Hygiene: Teach proper health care practices, including toileting, nutrition, dental care, and physical well-being.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with parents regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and conferences to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, or a CDA credential. We will consider alternative education backgrounds with a plan to pursue a degree or credential.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate knowledge of NY state child care regulations and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and engage in physical activities with children.
