Job Overview

The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the security operations within the facility to safeguard all company assets. This role involves managing and implementing security protocols related to the protection of sensitive information and documentation. The supervisor may be assigned to specific shifts and is expected to work flexible hours while managing various projects as per departmental needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all activities align with the principles and integrity of GGP Parks.
  • Conduct interviews, hire, and train security personnel.
  • Manage daily workflows, schedules, and assignments for security staff, including guards and dispatchers.
  • Supervise and evaluate shift personnel activities, ensuring compliance with departmental policies.
  • Plan daily assignments and conduct briefings for security operations.
  • Assess personnel and equipment needs for each shift.
  • Monitor operations and address issues as they arise, delegating tasks as necessary.
  • Evaluate and mentor shift personnel on job performance, conducting annual performance reviews.
  • Prepare and deliver training for new hires and current staff on policies and safety protocols.
  • Review reports submitted by security officers for accuracy and authenticity.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Duties
  • Implement security measures and protocols for all assigned facilities.
  • Proactively create a safe working environment for team members and guests.
  • Conduct regular inspections and walk-throughs of assigned facilities.
  • Direct personnel in establishing and maintaining security and property protection programs.
  • Develop operational procedures for guarding and patrolling property, monitoring personnel, and investigating incidents.
  • Collaborate with local government representatives to ensure coordination with law enforcement.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer needs and expectations.
  • Responsibilities include training team members, planning, assigning, and directing work, as well as resolving complaints.
  • Assume managerial duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
  • In-depth knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
  • Strong management and supervisory capabilities.
  • Ability to de-escalate volatile situations using effective communication techniques.
  • Proficient written communication skills for accurate report writing.
  • Familiarity with security practices for safeguarding individuals and property.
  • Capability to train staff on security policies and procedures.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Physical Requirements
  • Work environment may expose the employee to varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to conduct walking patrols over large areas.
  • Must respond quickly to calls and emergencies within the facility.
  • Capability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently and 100 pounds with assistance.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of three years of relevant leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possession of CLEET Certification and Licensing.
