Manager of Physical Security Operations

We are in search of a qualified Manager of Physical Security Operations to supervise and assist vendor security personnel, ensuring the safeguarding of CNMC's physical assets, properties, and resources. This role is vital in supporting the overall safety and security of visitors, employees, and staff members within our facility. Candidates should possess a well-rounded skill set, demonstrate effective communication abilities, and work independently while meeting stringent deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Manager of Physical Security Operations:
  • Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities of the Manager of Physical Security Operations Include:
  • Formulate and enforce security protocols, policies, and procedures for the protection of lives and property.
  • Oversee and coordinate security personnel during emergency situations.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, training, and drills for employees, staff, and vendors on emergency response actions, incident report writing, and incident management systems.
  • Enforce safety and security regulations to minimize the risk of workplace injuries or fatalities.
  • Help develop and manage processes for securing high-value property and sensitive information within the facility's property room.
  • Assist in establishing access control systems for company equipment and facilities to restrict access to designated areas.
  • Address both technical and non-technical escalations.
  • Coordinate and schedule shift coverage and allocate resources for special projects.
  • Plan and coordinate security support during special or high-risk events.
  • Regulate ingress and egress into our facility during peak traffic periods.
  • Manage all video surveillance and access control maintenance and repairs.
  • Respond to security incidents and coordinate responses with relevant agencies.
  • Facilitate all security-related incidents to the program management team and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct quality control and assurance for all security incidents and generate After Action Reviews (AAR) to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with other project departments to ensure the implementation of security best practices.
  • Maintain and document all security incident records within our Incident Management System.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Experience, Education, Skills, and Abilities Required for the Manager of Physical Security Operations:
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Tactical and operational expertise.
  • Familiarity with Lenel and Milestone systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to learn new Incident Management Systems and communication platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail in communications with federal agencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and support various security operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong capability in incident report writing.
  • Familiarity with MS Project and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Background Investigation.
  • Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, Cyber Security, or Information Systems (consideration given to relevant industry certifications for enterprise-level security platforms) or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience leading a Security Operations Center (SOC) is highly desirable.
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Must meet pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
