We are seeking exceptional technologists to become part of our Solutions Architect team, ensuring that our TiDB product and associated solutions meet the diverse needs of our clientele. The Solutions Architects at PingCAP are tasked with identifying the most beneficial industries and business applications for TiDB across various global markets, developing effective go-to-market strategies, and delivering these insights to regional business teams. Additionally, they guide our customers in designing and constructing reliable, scalable systems utilizing our data platform through expert services. Our team comprises skilled software and database architects, along with industry specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist business teams across North America, APAC, and Japan, focusing on the new economy sector, ensuring that relevant business metrics are met at the solution level, and improving the Proof of Concept (POC) success rates for account teams.
  • Provide market insights into global new economy verticals (such as gaming, e-commerce, fintech, SaaS), deeply understanding industry-specific business scenarios, identifying market trends, and developing scenario-based industry solutions.
  • Offer expert advice to clients on architectural frameworks, methodologies, and strategies to maximize the use of TiDB.
  • As a technical authority, stay abreast of developments in data technology, analyze the latest data technology stacks and products, and produce high-quality technical documentation and solutions.
  • Establish a strong industry presence, facilitate internal and external technology sharing sessions, and promote best practices in distributed database technology and data architecture.
  • Exhibit a robust understanding of innovative solutions; ideal candidates will have prior experience collaborating with clients or leading architecture teams.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience, with a Master's degree in at least one database or big data technology stack, showcasing in-depth research and relevant content output.
  • Possess a broad understanding of industry business and technology landscapes, with the ability to recognize current trends in the new economy sector.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in scenario abstraction and alignment with data architecture, with a proven history of working with scalable and highly available distributed systems.
  • Extensive experience in selling databases and deploying applications with leading cloud providers, including AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and Alibaba.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, enabling proactive engagement with customer data architecture needs and guiding solution design.
  • A strong sense of curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning in databases, cloud computing, big data, and emerging technologies.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing technical, enterprise customer-facing roles.

Compensation: The anticipated annual base salary range for U.S. candidates for this position is USD 160,000 to $220,000. Actual individual base pay will vary based on factors such as role complexity, location, job level, and relevant experience. This position is also eligible for PingCAP's Bonus and Equity Plan, as well as our Sales Compensation Plan if applicable.
