Position Overview
As a Psychometric Technician I, you will play a vital role in the assessment and evaluation of patients within the Psychiatry Department's Neuropsychiatry Division. This position requires a strong foundation in applied psychology, along with hands-on experience in psychometric testing.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in applied psychology or a related discipline, complemented by two (2) years of relevant experience in testing or psychology.
  • Educational qualifications may substitute for some experience.
  • Proficiency in both Spanish and English is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct a wide range of psychometric evaluations, including complex neuropsychological and psychological assessments, as well as computer-based testing, under the supervision of licensed psychologists or neuropsychologists.
  • Assess and address patient needs throughout the evaluation process; manage patient behavior and maintain a controlled testing environment to ensure accurate results.
  • Collaborate with team members regarding any unique patient requirements during evaluations; oversee patient behavior and ensure a conducive testing atmosphere.
  • Obtain patient consent for research participation. Score psychological and neuropsychological assessments using established normative standards and guidelines.
  • Document and summarize test results and patient data comprehensively.
  • Provide detailed records of patient behavior during assessments; assist in maintaining quality control measures.
  • Attend to routine administrative tasks associated with the operation of a psychological clinic or laboratory.
  • Support the training of new staff in the proper administration and scoring of tests, as well as in documenting observations and responding to patient behavior during evaluations.
  • Contribute to research initiatives as needed.
  • Engage in consultations with fellow psychometricians and assist in the statistical analysis of research data and the setup of psychological testing instruments.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
