About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Materials Testing Technician I to join our team at Intertek. As a key member of our Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek-PSI) team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of construction materials testing, project-specific observations, and site assessment duties under general supervision and/or from detailed controlled procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct project-heavy concrete testing and operate testing equipment to collect and analyze data.
  • Provide assessment of data through reporting and maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
  • Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams to complete work and maintain and calibrate standard equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and project teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
  • Some construction experience or current student in an Engineering or Construction Management related degree plan.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable driving record required.
  • Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; occasionally, over 50 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound.
  • Ability to kneel and squat occasionally.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.
  • Ability to climb occasionally and work at various heights.
  • Ability to work over night hours and off shift.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ACI Concrete I Certification.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years' related field and/or lab technician experience.
