Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) is seeking a highly accomplished physician leader to serve as the Chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. This esteemed position offers a unique opportunity to build on a rich legacy and define the future of psychiatric, psychological, and psychosocial aspects of cancer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences in advancing its clinical, research, and education missions.
  • Develop and implement a forward-looking strategy to drive the Department's growth and success.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment with MSK's overall strategic objectives.
  • Provide exceptional leadership and mentorship to faculty and staff.
Requirements
  • MD, MD/PhD in psychiatry; board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry and, preferably, Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.
  • 5 – 7 years of administrative and leadership experience at an academic institution or cancer center, serving as a Chair or Section/Division Chief.
  • Candidate must meet requirements for medical licensure in New York State.
  • An actively practicing physician is preferred.
  • National and international prominence in psychiatry and, ideally, consultation-liaison psychiatry.
