Position - Telecommunications Systems Specialist

Location:

Overview:

  • Proficient in administrative, engineering, and troubleshooting aspects of Cisco voice systems, encompassing CUCM, Cisco IP Phones, Unity Connection, UCCX, Router gateways/CUBE (T1/SIP), and UCS/VMWare. Familiarity with additional voice systems such as RightFax, BISCOM, Voice Spam Filtering systems, and call recording technologies is advantageous. This expertise is essential for routine support tasks, resolution of system issues/outages, and special initiatives including upgrades, patching, acquisitions/divestitures/mergers, and various reconfigurations.
  • Oversee the management of the trouble ticket queue for all voice-related incident reports from end users, which includes break/fix tickets, 'how-to' inquiries/end user training, Move/Add/Change tasks, and collaboration with other IT teams interfacing with the Voice Team.
  • Regular on-site presence in the Atlanta office is required to provide direct support to end users, including the physical relocation of telecom equipment such as phones and connecting cabling beneath desks.
  • While infrequent, there may be a need for travel to remote office locations for specific projects or support requirements.
  • Responsible for configuring and deploying Cisco telephones and voicemail accounts.
  • Assist or lead special projects under the guidance and direction of senior engineers.
  • Develop and finalize technical documentation for end users (training materials) and team members (system/process documentation, network diagrams) as well as conducting system audits.
