Patient Family Relations Liaison

The Patient Family Relations Liaison is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, families, and employees. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a complex clinical environment. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, prioritize, and manage multiple functions simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Respond to incoming calls, emails, and messages in a timely and compassionate manner.
2. Greet patients and families, directing them to the appropriate resources within the institution.
3. Assist with data entry and management in the PFR database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
4. Collaborate with PFR specialists and advocates to resolve patient and family concerns.
5. Prepare formal correspondence and documentation, including letters and messages.
Requirements:
1-3 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or a related field.
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Suite, and ability to learn new programs and applications.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions:
The duties require daily use of computer, telephone, printer, and fax machine. The employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, and depth perception. Possible local travel to Mass General Brigham sites.
