Job Summary

The Grants and Compliance Coordinator provides strategic leadership and direction for programs funded by federal, state, and private funds. This role oversees the financial administration of federal, state, and private grants, ensuring compliance and reporting requirements are met. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Deans, Directors, Faculty, and Staff to conduct and oversee academic and quality assurance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with grantor regulations and guidelines.
  • Oversee special audits conducted by grantors.
  • Perform financial administration and reporting duties, including grant application and report preparation, budget development, and expenditure coordination.
  • Serve as a liaison with Administration and other departments on grant-related matters.
  • Monitor grant-funded interventions and programs to ensure compliance with grantor guidelines.
  • Assign grants and related responsibilities to individual analysts and coordinate their activities.
  • Evaluate the fiscal administration of grant programs.
  • Prepare and submit grant applications, application amendments, and budget transfers.
  • Monitor and approve federal grant data in the Institutional data system.
  • Coordinate staffing levels for grant-related input into Institutional reports.
  • Work collaboratively with instructional grant personnel to ensure compliance with Institutional participation requirements.
  • Receive guidance from the Assistant Provost for Institutional Effectiveness and ensure consistency with applicable law.
  • Maintain a high level of working knowledge with the Microsoft Office Suite and other Institutional data systems.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly financial accounting and reporting.
  • Develop protocols for the collection of revenue received by various grants.
  • Conduct training sessions to instruct in data collection, reporting, and daily activities.
  • Contribute to Institutional fundraising and participate in the LECOM Scholarship Auction.
  • Participate in scholarly activity to enrich and broaden the student learning experience.
  • Represent LECOM in the community, including serving on Boards, participating in community fundraisers, and outreach efforts.
Requirements
  • A master's degree with a concentration in accounting or finance.
  • Previous experience in grants financial management, finance, accounting, and/or auditing.
  • Three to Five years' experience working in or overseeing governmental/federal grants.
  • Experience with HRSA, NIH, NSF, or PCORI funding.
  • Experience in an educational setting preferred.
