Job Summary

The Grants and Compliance Coordinator provides leadership and direction for programs funded by federal, state, and private funds. This role oversees the financial administration of federal, state, and private grants, ensuring that program staff accomplish their approved program initiatives and that the Institution meets compliance and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with grantor regulations and guidelines.
  • Oversee special audits conducted by grantors.
  • Perform financial administration and reporting duties, including grant application and report preparation, budget development, and expenditure screening.
  • Serve as a liaison with Administration and other departments on grant-related issues.
  • Monitor interventions and programs funded by grants to ensure compliance with grantor guidelines.
  • Assign grants and related responsibilities to individual budget/departmental analysts and coordinate their activities.
  • Assist in evaluating the fiscal administration of grant programs.
  • Oversee the preparation and timely submission of grant applications, application amendments, and budget transfers.
  • Monitor and approve federal grant data in the Institutional data system.
  • Coordinate staffing levels related to grants for input into Institutional reports.
  • Work collaboratively with instructional grant personnel to ensure compliance with Institutional participation requirements.
  • Receive guidance from the Assistant Provost for Institutional Effectiveness and work closely to ensure consistency and compliance with applicable law.
  • Maintain a high level of working knowledge with the Microsoft Office Suite and other Institutional data systems.
  • Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly financial accounting and reporting.
  • Responsible for the development of various protocols related to the collection of all revenue received by various grants.
  • Conduct training sessions to instruct in data collection, reporting, and other daily activities.
  • Contribute directly to the Mission of LECOM by assisting with Institutional fundraising and participating in the LECOM Scholarship Auction.
  • Participate in scholarly activity to enrich and broaden the student learning experience.
  • Commit to being a representative of LECOM by being actively involved in the community, including serving on Boards, participating in community fundraisers, and overall outreach.
  • Be able to accept other duties needed/assigned for the department needs.
Requirements
  • A master's degree with a concentration in accounting or finance.
  • Previous experience in grants financial management, finance, accounting, and/or auditing.
  • Three to Five years' or more experience working in or overseeing governmental/federal grants.
  • Experience with HRSA, NIH, NSF, or PCORI funding.
  • Experience in an educational setting preferred, but not required.
