**Job Overview:**

As a Water Use Inspector Manager with the City of New York, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient use of our city's water resources. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team dedicated to protecting public health and the environment.

**Salary:** $64,000 - $88,000 per year (depending on experience).

Responsibilities:
  • Direct moderate-sized Borough/location-wide Water Use Inspection Programs by assigning, supervising, and evaluating the work of inspectors of lower rank.
  • Prepare in-service training programs and plan special programs and surveys to ensure compliance with department regulations.
  • Interpret and enforce rules and regulations related to water use and wastewater management.
  • Utilize DCU and MTU systems to troubleshoot issues that can be assigned to field staff.
  • Collaborate with DEP contractors to survey locations for meter installation or replacement and respond to customer complaints.
Requirements:

In order to be considered for this position, candidates must have:

  • Three years of satisfactory full-time mechanical experience in plumbing or water use inspection, including one year in a supervisory capacity.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with large meter installations and service orders completed by DEP contractors.
