Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Management Specialist to join our team at the Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc.

About the Role

This position involves managing a portfolio of programs, conducting site visits, addressing questions and concerns, reviewing programmatic audits, and developing scopes of service to ensure alignment with Bureau expectations. Additional responsibilities include procuring and monitoring contracts, assisting in negotiations, and drafting reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of programs to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess and review the quality of program services, ensuring compliance with established standards.
  • Respond to inquiries, concerns, and complaints from various stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Review and discuss programmatic audits and fiscal issues, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop, evaluate, and revise scopes of service for programs to align with Bureau expectations.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts or Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with external partners.
  • Act as a liaison to government and interagency committees, fostering collaboration and information sharing.
  • Draft reports and correspondence on behalf of the Office, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Participate in special projects to evaluate and improve the quality of services delivered by the organization.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • A master's degree in social work or public health from an accredited graduate school.
  • Four years of full-time paid experience in public health, medical, or psychiatric social work.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience managing social services within a supportive housing program.
  • Experience serving homeless or formerly homeless persons and individuals with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorder.
  • Experience working with individuals who have histories of Justice Involvement and Homelessness.
  • Strong computer and data management skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
